This week has flown by and I couldn't be more excited for the year! We dove straight into our new Science program. Students began to discuss how to create great wonder questions that will guide their science learning. They worked in small groups to solve an out of space math mystery project. We also had a book tasting in LA complete with some tasting snacks.
As the summer is ending and the school year is starting I am so excited to meet my new bunch of 3rd grade students! I can't wait to start our learning adventure together. This year we will grow and explore together! Parents can expect their students to blossom into independent learners during the year!
This week I introduced a new item into our room- the V.I.P basket. The V.I.P basket is to reward students who have gone and beyond our classroom expectations. The V.I.P basket is filled with fun pens, pencils, crayons, and markers that the students can use throughout the day. We had our very first V.I.P today! Be sure to ask your student about the V.I.P basket and if they were the lucky student to use it.
